"We are making great founders"
Task:
Announcement of the start-up campaign "We are making great founders" for new businesses
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of North Rhine Westphalia initiated the campaign "We are making great founders" to motivate more people to start-up their own business and increase awareness for the corresponding services of the STARTERCENTER NRW.
Realisation:
DIE PR-BERATER developed target group specific content around the start-up campaign:
In addition to the general reports on the campaign itself issues such as senior business coaches, women as entrepreneurs, establishing a company as a team, establishing small companies, innovative business ideas as well as the START MESSE fair and START AWARD were focal points for an extensive media coverage. With this wide variety of themes and occasions DIE PR-BERATER successfully placed the issues of self-employment, business start-ups and STARTERCENTER NRW in the media over a long period of time.
Press and photo opportunity
Image motif with monumental character
Task:
Develop and realise an image motif to Ccreate attention for the launch of the campaign "We are making great founders"
The central motives of the campaign are symbolic monuments to honour successful entrepreneurs.
Realisation:
DIE PR-BERATER developed the idea of the monument further and staged the local launches of the campaign as photo opportunity: Carsten Widera-Trombach, entrepreneur and successful founder of his own business, posed in front of a giant poster of 18 by 8 metres depicting his own monument. This press event allowed for the placement of the success story about the software and games developer in local newspapers and linked it to the announcement of the START MESSE in Essen. The occasion was also used by TV broadcasters as reference point for "making of"-reports for which DIE PR-BERATER provided extensive footage material. This playful and entertaining presentation made this story of a business start-up also suitable for yellow media and therefore extended the coverage of the campaign to a broader audience.

START AWARD
Task:
Announcement of the "START AWARD", a competition for successful start-ups and young entrepreneurs
Each year in the context of the START MESSE start-up convention the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of North Rhine Westphalia nominates successful business start-ups and young entrepreneurs for the START AWARD in appreciation of their creative business ideas and successful start-ups.
Realisation:
DIE PR-BERATER ensured a broad regional coverage: From the news concerning the nomination and background reports around founders and their business ideas over live coverage and award ceremony to the winners` success story.
Focus on Turkey
Press and media relations
Task:
Introducing company`s founder Gülcan Urul in the Turkish media in the context of the "We make great founders"-campaign.
The campaign „We make great founders" is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Economics, Middle Class and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and aims among other things at motivating particularly migrants to professional self-employment.
Realisation:
In order to reach the target group of Turkish origin, the communication agency DIE PR-BERATER made use of the success story of self-employed optometrist Gülcan Urul. Being an advertising motif of this "founder campaign", Gülcan Urul was able to arouse interest in this topic among Turkish-speaking newspapers and TV stations. About 15 Turkish-speaking media have been reporting on the young entrepreneur and her business establishment.
Media cooperation
Cooperation with Radio Lippe
Task:
Media cooperation during the "Founder`s Day 2009" of the start-up network Lippe Chamber of Commerce in Detmold.
On 16 November 2009 the start-up network Lippe Chamber of Commerce held an information day about business start-up opportunities.
Realisation:
In order to reach as many potential participants as possible in advance and to give a comprehensive and up-to-date report on business start-ups, DIE PR-BERATER initiated a media cooperation with the regional radio station Radio Lippe. Three days before the event, Radio Lippe promoted the Founder's Day 2009 by broadcasting event trailers. In addition, it launched a special program one week before the Founder's Day and gave detailed information about business start-ups and the possible ways of support offered by the foundation's network.
Other parts of this media cooperation were a post coverage report one day after the event as well as a promotional page for the Founder's Day 2009 on the website of Radio Lippe.
Films and presentations
Film Clips for START AWARD-winner
Task:
Design and production of all clips for the "START AWARD 2009", a competition for successful entrepreneurs and young businessmen
Realisation:
Accordingly, the clips for the award ceremony were supposed to appear young and innovative. For the two categories "Financially successful young business" and "Innovative young business" DIE PR-BERATER produced one clip each. In consistence with the categories of the competition, DIE PR-BERATER developed a dramaturgy for the individual companies nominated in order to introduce their business idea, the corporate culture and the people acting.
