Why We Use Gender-Inclusive Language

For centuries, researchers in psychology, linguistics, and social sciences have explored the profound impact of language on society. Across these fields, one fact remains clear:

Language is a powerful tool that shapes both societal change and stability.

As philosophers often say:
Language creates reality.

Feminist language critique frames it even more directly:

Language influences thought, and thought shapes our reality. If we want to create a more inclusive world, we need to ensure our language reflects that inclusivity.

At our new location, we’ve embraced gender-inclusive language to ensure everyone feels seen. Whether using PR consultants, PR consultants (she/her, he/him, they/them), or simply alternating between forms, we’re committed to making our communication as inclusive as our workplace.

P.S. Twenty years ago, when we chose the name DIE PR-BERATER (The PR Consultants), we didn’t yet recognize the importance of inclusive language—even though women were already some of the most talented communicators in our field. Today, we’re working to change that!

Sincerely,
Your PR Consultants (all genders included)
