Communicative support for the scholarship

Task:

The Gottfried Böhm Scholarship, under the patronage of Cologne's Mayor Henriette Reker, supports architects in the post-graduate phase who are particularly interested in the connection between architecture and urban planning.

DIE PR-BERATER were commissioned to develop the overall communication for the first and second rounds of the scholarship.

Realisation:

DIE PR-BERATER created press materials and releases for various target groups. In the first step, we placed information about the scholarship in the Cologne press and in specialist architecture media worldwide. This resulted in a total of 42 applications from 23 countries for the first round of the scholarship.

In the second round, the outreach was expanded and intensified once again, and distribution via LinkedIn was stepped up. In total, DIE PR-BERATER contacted 515 media outlets in 47 countries. This resulted in 104 applications from 45 countries and six continents.

Task:

Organisation of kick-off and press events

Realisation:

DIE PR-BERATER organized the kick-off event for the prestigious Gottfried Böhm Scholarship in one of the architect's churches. Guests included important stakeholders such as Cologne's Lord Mayor and patron of the scholarship Henriette Reker, architect and son of Gottfried Böhm Prof. Paul Böhm and donors from the architecture and construction industry as well as the most important Cologne media.

To present the results of the first round, DIE PR-BERATER also organised a press event at Cologne’s historic town hall. There, scholarship recipient Dr Ermelinda di Chiara presented her urban development project. The event was opened by Henriette Reker, then Lord Mayor and patron of the scholarship.
