DIE EICHE

Press and media relations

Successful press work

Task:

Successful press work for the opening of the columbarium DIE EICHE in Lübeck

Realisation:

  1. Proactive press approach: Even before the official opening, we contacted various media representatives, including daily newspapers, radio and specialist magazines. Our aim was to arouse the interest of journalists and give them the opportunity to take an in-depth look at the columbarium in advance.
  2. Individual appointments with media representatives: In order to ensure in-depth reporting, we organised individual viewing appointments for journalists. These advance appointments offered an exclusive opportunity to explore the columbarium at their leisure and conduct detailed interviews.

On the day of the opening, we hosted an official press event with the following programme items:
Welcome and introduction: an introduction to the concept and special features of the columbarium.

  • Guided tour: A detailed tour of the stylish design and historical elements of the listed building.
  • Q&A session: Opportunity for the press to ask questions and obtain further information.
  • Networking: A subsequent exchange between the media representatives and those responsible for the columbarium.

The targeted press work showed results: The media response was comprehensive and nationwide. Numerous daily newspapers, radio stations and specialised magazines reported extensively on the columbarium. In the days following the publication, the columbarium also recorded a sharp increase in calls and enquiries. Many potential customers were interested in viewings and further information. The well thought-out and well-implemented press work contributed significantly to the success of the opening of the columbarium DIE EICHE in Lübeck. The combination of a proactive approach to the press, exclusive individual appointments and a professional press event enabled us to attract broad media attention and arouse public interest.
